Heh heh, ‘forsworn all pep rallies!’; I am picturing a desperate marketer/ telesales worker, coming to the realisation that a long standing customer is set on switching allegiance. “Ah, Sir! My manager has just authorised me to give you this once in a life time deal.” “Yes, we’ve been screwing you all this time, but now you will be a prince amongst men with this, only available today, VIP offer”
Talk of an amusement park seems apt. Like a theme park that is ‘no longer light nor darkness, but a dim’ copy of something more authentic. The ‘seven wonders of the world’ theme park with added monorail.
The hall of mirrors is great fun if you can find your way out quickly. But If you have to start living in there it might become a bit disorientating. (and if you forget you actually entered it, in the first place……)
Still plenty of interest for me though. Not so much enjoying the rides or watching the shows; More peaking behind the scenes and looking at the mechanisms to fathom how it all fits together.
