“It’s tricky, though, for the way it enters is as a thought,”

I am with you all the way when you urge the simplicity of direct experience and raw observation. I was just reading the latest couple of ‘stories’ from Tom X Hart this morning and he seems to be reaching similar conclusions. It feels as though the ‘Earthworld RPG’ game has just received a major upgrade and now we are all singing from this same updated songbook.

I don’t ‘think’ the mind and intellect are the villain of the piece though. I get the feeling that the ego/mind is an evolutionary step forward for the ‘unconscious’. It is a focussing and manipulation tool par excellence, allowing ‘brand new’ ways of putting ‘things’ together. The ‘problem’ at hand is that this manipulation device has ‘gone rogue’. It has lost contact with the control room and so, instead of just sticking to what it does best, it is trying to be the ‘Jack of all trades’. It thinks that it has been left in charge and is determined to have a hand in everything.’
