I find myself warming to the ‘Gurdjieffian’ notion, that the thin film of ‘life’ wrapping ‘our’ planetary globe, has come into being primarily to ‘bridge a gap’.
It is a sensitive layer, through which the ‘stream of creation’ can flow. But it is not just a blind conductor; The stream is changed as it passes. The ‘layer’ acts like a sort of ‘step-down transformer’.
The labyrinth and it’s associated anguish and suffering would therefore be ‘necessary’ and ‘by design’; It’s ‘friction’ acting as a brake, processor and channeller, ‘de-wilding’ the chaotic torrent.
