I would say the tension between polarities is perfectly natural. It follows from out of the very nature of duality.

The question then, is whether the splitting of undifferentiated oneness into duality, is natural or manufactured?Manufactured means done by an act of will and the event was not ‘required to happen’; Natural means it is an ‘irresistible blossoming’; A flower growing quite naturally when the ‘circumstances are right’.

Who knows? I am quite drawn to ideas of fractal patterns and similarities across scale. It seems though, that what starts as ‘will’ can easily turn into ‘process’; a multiplying force carried on by its own momentum.

I think our own, human predicament is well into the arena of process. The task and ‘spiritual path’ then, is to turn around and head toward the source of the ‘stream’.

It is a way ‘against nature’ and much more demanding than the natural ‘gently down the stream’. Merrily, merrily merrily….
