It feels as though we are separated, compartmentalised beings. Some part of ‘us’ is illuminated and some part isn’t. We imagine that we are the prime movers in this, but i suspect the opposite might be the case.

The intellect and ego are of this world and compromise the lion’s share of who/what we identify with. What is left when they are stripped away?

Talk of meeting with the illumined was more rhetorical speculation and musing than solid enquiry. We do like the idea of being saved and being led.

How can we possibly recognise illumination in another when we have no experience of it ourselves? We can only see what we have inside ourselves.

The lucidity of the dream depends on how much of the ‘other’ is channelled into the dream. Ordinarily we are not lucid; We just remember things that have happened.
