Lol yeah! G was full of neologisms. He took root words from lots of different languages and recombined them. I suppose, as he was trying to discuss something that was unknown and therefor without a word handle, he would have felt forced to come up with something himself.

I can certainly see the germanic blod, bloed.

(Gothic blop- ‘blood’ and bloma — ‘flower’) Maybe also the arabic ‘zein’ — ‘fragrant plant’

I think G saw this substance as ‘blood’ for, what he called, the kesdjan body (astral body)

A subtle constituent of what we know of as blood, but nourishing a different part of ourselves.

Whereas regular blood is a product of the food we eat (first being food), he stated that ‘hanbledzoin’ pertains to our second being food — ie the air that we breathe.
