Really enjoyable read. Love Buckowski’s ability to distill a poetry by cutting things back to the fewest words he can get away with.

‘Authenticity’; People seem to recognise it, but it is difficult to formulate. To me it seems to label that a certain process has been gone through. Time needs to be spent in the ‘wilderness’ with limited ‘tools/resources’.

As a youth the wilderness was my own bedroom. Poor kids nowadays, are struggling to find such a ‘place’. Limited resources are a must; That one book, fortuitously discovered, read from cover to cover, over and over.

The marketing men would love to be able to package and sell this stuff, but by the time those devils have latched on to it. The ones ‘actually doing it’ have long packed up and moved on to other uncharted seas.
