The themes and ideas that have drawn me in and refuse to let go.

I do not necessarily believe or disbelieve in anything. Ideas have their own power and can look after themselves!

1). Enlightenment and revelation pertain to the act of remembering, not to the accumulation of something new.

The idea that something crucially important has been lost or forgotten becomes a deeply symbolic theme.

2). In order to navigate and explore any ‘world’, a vehicle (body) synchronous to that world is required.

That we live in two interpenetrating worlds concurrently and therefore have access to two bodies.

That influence and information flows between those worlds, but there is also an enclosure, or cocooning effect that promotes and ensures separation.

3). That our outer and inner worlds are synchronous and somehow mirror and reflect each other

4). That the prime ‘battle’ between ‘good and evil’ takes place within our own inner landscape.

That it is really a battle between automatic process and conscious action; Slavery and freedom; fear and acceptance.

5). That our world is counter-intuitive. To battle automatic process on its terms is to be infected by automatic process.

To fight the Empire is to be infected by its derangement. This is a paradox; whoever defeats a segment of the Empire becomes the Empire; it proliferates like a virus, imposing its form on its enemies. Thereby it becomes its enemies.

6). That our world is topsy turvy. That what is said and shown often turns out to be the opposite of what is done.

Our world seems to have a powerful ‘cognitive dissonance’ effect. One part of ourselves is placated and another part of ourselves is terrified.
