From a certain viewpoint our individual life in all it’s entirety, with all it’s myriad permutations might be seen as a single object.
An ‘eye to see’ could catch the whole thing, at a glance.
It would, of course, be a ‘transcendental object’; A sort of crystalline, multi-faceted kind of structure.
‘Time’ shrinks to but a single dimension of the object. All that you are now; Your entire inner world and it’s reflection (The outer world), is reduced to a ‘one-dimensional’ point embedded somewhere inside it.
Your future can be predicted, but this is an art, rather than a science. There are many routes, but all do eventually lead to ‘the surface’.
Some parts of the way are difficult and some parts easy. Sometimes the way will be a narrow valley and the storm raging behind will urge you along, while other times the way will be flat and featureless; A room with a thousand doors.
You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they’re darked.
A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?And IF you go in, should you turn left or right…
or right-and-three-quarters? Or, maybe, not quite?
Or go around back and sneak in from behind?
Simple it’s not, I’m afraid you will find,
for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.
There is nothing new under the sun though. All your possibilities are in there, undiscovered until a life-line intersects.
To live a life is to set sail and navigate. To enter the surface, venture through, and emerge elsewhere.
Who is to say, that there aren’t other yous already dotted throughout the structure drawing maps and finding their own ways!
