Yes, that’s it. The ‘art of dreaming’ feels closer to home, because we are all thrust into that world, willy nilly, every night. Fortunately, there seems to be some other part of ourself at the helm, calling the shots during these excursions. Words, thoughts and intentions have power though, so there can be an amount of peril when our everyday fledgeling consciousness somehow switches places with the master steersman and finds itself ‘lucid’ inside the dream.

I do sense we are ‘looked after’ to some extent. Whether that is in the sense of the farmer looking after his livestock, the parent looking after the child or the base of the iceberg supporting the tip; i’m not quite sure.

I think you are right. There seems a dream like quality at all ‘levels’. The only difference is the level of crystallisation; Namely, the level and extent of binding ruleset.

We may well be in the ‘gaming sweet-spot’; Enough rules and restrictions to provide a consistent and engaging adventure, but also enough opportunities to inject the creative impulse and pursue ‘freedom’.
